Hedge Fund Manager Buys Most Expensive House in the U.S. for $147M

Barry Rosenstein, investor and hedge fund manager, recently purchased the most expensive house in the U.S. for a whopping $147,000,000. The 18 acre beachfront property is located on the exclusive Further Lane in the Hamptons.

The house was sold to Rosenstein in an inside deal with the houses previous owners who decided not to use a broker to avoid the huge commission that would come along with a house selling for this much money. Needless to say, high end brokers in the industry were not to pleased with this.

This sale for the $147,000,000 house breaks the previous record of $120,000,000 that was set just two weeks ago for a house in Greenwich, Connecticut.
